A chronometer is a precision watch that is regulated in different positions and at different temperatures, and which has received an official certificate of the performed chronometer certification by a neutral official authority.
The development of chronometers began with an announcement of the British Parliament in the year 1714 the Act of the Queen Anne (Act of Parliament).
