The Altiplano Skeleton is a wristwatch by Piaget.

The Altiplano impressively embodies the know-how of the house Piaget in terms of ultra-flat watches. According to the new case size of 40 mm diameter Piaget has equipped the new Altiplano model with an ultra-modern 12-ligne movement, the manufacture calibre Piaget 838P. This ultra-flat manual winding movement has a height of only 2.5 mm.

In the variant as Altiplano Skeleton 40mm this movement impresses not only by its very contemporary design, but also by its appearance of airy lightness, which is caused by a mainly manually executed skeletonization. Since the master watchmakers of the house have only maintained the necessary working parts, the viewer is offered a look at the magnificent finishing and the impressive interplay of the wheels. Starting at the center of the small seconds at 10 o'clock extends a guilloché sunbeams decor throughout the dial till the internal bezel ring, where the 60 rays end. The latter is held in a discreet gray and blends perfectly in color with the rhodinated movement.

Aesthetically, the new model offers the characteristics of the Altiplano collection features a sleek, elegant case and a simple dial with single or double bar indices and baton hands. Additionally, with the balanced arrangement of small seconds at 10 o'clock and the Piaget Logo at 3 o'clock it provides a harmonious overall appearance. The white gold case is provided with a sapphire crystal caseback, so one can admire the movement with round Geneva stripes and blued screws.

The Altiplano Skeleton 40mm is worn with a black alligator leather strap with tang-type buckle in 18ct white gold.
