Silicone

Silicone wristbands are made of synthetic polymers that offer a unique combination of organic and inorganic properties. They are hydrophobic, heat-resistant, and non-toxic. Unlike leather, they do not absorb moisture and do not cause skin irritation in people with metal allergies.

The downside is that it isn't breathable. Since silicone is non-porous, moisture (sweat, water) cannot evaporate and accumulates between the skin and the wristband. This creates a warm, moist environment that promotes skin irritation, red rashes, and, in the worst case, fungal infections.

Compared to high-quality rubber, silicone is less durable.
