Wristwatch by Richard Mille
This is the first time in the watch area that the innovative material nano carbon fiber is used the plate of the watch movement is made from this material. Hereby, and also because of the extensive skeletonizing, the watch became light as a feather. The nanofibers are pressed under the high pressure of 7,500 N/cm2 and a temperature of 2,000˚C.
The experimental watch was limited to 20 pieces. It is one of the early models of the brand, with which it reached its unrivaled glory among watch connoisseurs and horological enthusiasts. Later other models with a plate made of nano-carbon fiber followed.
By the way, the Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa, to whom Richard Mille dedicated a number of special editions of later models, wore a RM 006 on the wrist during the races of the 2004 racing season.
