Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 XXL Foudroyante
Vintage 1945 XXL Foudroyante is a luxury watch by Girard-Perregaux.
In the year 1880 Constant Girard created a pocket chronograph, which was equipped with two finesses a rattrapante function and a seconde foudroyante. With the rattrapante function split times can be measured, and the seconde foudroyante indicates fractions of a second. The ingenious principle is based on a double barrel, which gives power reserve to the seconde foudroyante.
Over a hundred years later Girard-Perregaux launched a new edition of the chronograph with rattrapante and seconde foudroyante as wristwatch - thanks to advances in miniaturization. The watch from the series Vintage 1945 has a self-winding manufacture movement and a rectangular, particularly large-sized case in white gold.
