Classique Tourbillon Extra-Plat Anniversaire 5365 is a luxury wristwatch from Breguet.

2019, Breguet presented this extra-flat skeletonized model in the classic style of the house.

The extra-thin Caliber 581 is one of the thinnest automatic movements with tourbillon in the world, measuring just 3 mm in height. The oscillating weight was placed to the side of the plate for this purpose and thus allows a better view of the movement. The tourbillon was also completely redesigned: The tourbillon cage engages directly with the wheel train, eliminating the need for a drive train mounted below. In addition, the silicon escapement adopts a specially curved shape that allows space to be gained.

The few remaining surfaces of the plate were elaborately guilloched. The “Clous de Paris” decoration was created with a diamond-tipped guilloche tool. This method gives the piece a special shine. The sharp edges were carefully beveled with a file until a perfectly smooth and even bevel of 45° was created. Finally, numerous engravings as well as borders around the holes are incorporated by hand.
