The 1815 “Homage to Walter Lange” is a luxury wristwatch by A. Lange & Söhne.

2017 version of the 1815 model presented in honor of Walter Lange. Walter Lange had registered Lange Uhren GmbH on December 7, 1990, exactly 145 years to the day after Ferdinand Adolph Lange founded the company.

The watch features an unusual complication: a jumping central seconds hand with start/stop function. It is based on an invention by Walter Lange's great-grandfather in 1867.

The number in the watch's name refers to the birth date of the brand's founder Ferdinand Adolph Lange, who was born in Dresden on February 1815.

The reference number 297 as well as the caliber number L1924 refer to the date of birth of Walter Lange: July 29 1924.
