Frederique Constant - Swiss watch manufacturer
The name “Frederique Constant” represents a synthesis of two names Frederique Schreiner, 1881-1969, and Constant Stas, 1880-1967. The current CEO of Frederique Constant, Dr. Peter Constant Stas, descends in the fourth generation from Constant Stas. Constant Stas founded his company in 1904, when he produced dials for clocks.
In 1988 Frederique Constant was founded in its current form as a separate and independent family enterprise. Aletta Bax and Peter C. Stas had previously, after a long working day, invested their spare time and their passion in the design of watches. This led to their first collection six models with Swiss movements, made by a Geneva watchmaker, that could be presented in 1992 …
