A. Lange & Söhne Grand Langematik (platinum), Ref. 309.031
History
This watch complements the 1997 lauched Langematik, long considered a classic, with the Lange-typical patented big date. It has a 40 mm diameter case, larger than the Langematik. Both are equipped with the self-winding manufacture movement L921.4. This “Sax-O-Mat” calibre has hacking seconds with automatic zeroing of the seconds hand (“zero-reset”) when pulling the crown. The power reserve is 46 hours.
The Grand Langematik was introduced in 2003 and produced through 2007. References include the yellow gold/champagne 309.021, pink gold/black 309.031, and platinum/rhodium 309.025.
